Festetics Palace – baroque elegance

(1088 Budapest,Pollack Mihály tér 3.)

Nowadays the building serves two purposes, on one hand its perfectly restored historic rooms and court are used as event venues of exceptional beauty, on the other, its newly built and modern education rooms are used for university lectures.

The mission of Festetics Palace, in honour of its builder-name giver, is to become one of the best  known and popular  institutions of the capital, and to make the wonderful architectural values of this building a „common property” , while transmitting the noblest spiritual traditions of the old Hungarian aristocracy and German culture.  .

As a venue for events, they offer extraordinarily decorated rooms and high quality services, to make the atmosphere of events held here, among the walls of the palace, truly elevated, and to give for all those visiting here, a really special, unique experience. The palace is an excellent „backdrop” for concerts, balls, weddings, receptions and any event that benefits from its romantic atmosphere, classic beauty and gentle elegance. For the highest quality of professional events organised here, they provide cutting edge conference technology and interpreters’ booths.

The building is located in the historical part of Budapest where magnates lived, in the neighbourhood of, among others, the National Museum, The Budapest  Ervin Szabó Library or the Italian Culture Institute.
The building of the Festetics Palace serves as event venue, contributing to the success of the events held here  among the walls of the palace with four special ceremonial rooms and high quality services.  This venue has the great advantage, among others, of excellent accessibility and parking, and day and night gate service that allows the guests to enjoy the palace’s services without any time limitation.

Marble Room
This room has marble effect stucco walls and skylight windows above. There is a mirror on the wall, decorated with the coat of arms of the Festetics family.  Earlier it used to function as a reception salon. Today it also fulfils this purpose, because the Marble Room leads to the richly decorated ball room. The restrooms also open from this room, as well as a smaller room of 15 square metres that can be used for relaxation or changing room.

Mirror Room
The „gem” of the building, with its inlayed wooden floor and Venetian mirrors lit by the one and only original crystal chandelier , the ball room was built in classicist, baroque style. Access to the Mirror Room is through the Marble Room, therefore the two rooms may be booked only together.

Andrássy  Room
The Andrássy  Room is directly accessible from the staircase. Due to its dimensions, this room is ideal for conferences, workshops, press conferences and performances.

Festetics Room
The Festetics Room, though can be booked individually, serves rather as an auxiliary space. It offers direct passage to the „hinterland” at the ceremonial rooms, making it a popular venue for standing receptions.
