Museum of Military History in the Buda Castle

In the most exclusive location of Budapest, in the Buda Castle there is one of the most visited venues of Hungarian cultural life, the Museum and Institute of Military History. Its typical classicist style building is a listed monument of the Castle District. Its Marble Hall and Court of Honour are popular wedding venues. In the summer season the Court is used for concerts but the museum’s cool rooms are suitable even for business events as well.

Marble Hall
The Marble Hall (302 m2) is situated on the ground floor, where beautiful environment welcomes the newlyweds and their guests. Its line of columns, marble covers, pleasant colours provide a perfect backdrop for a wedding. In the middle of the hall, a huge, double winged wooden door opens to the cobblestone-covered Court of Honour. Thanks to its location, the Marble Hall provides a nice temperature even on the hottest summer days.

The building complex surrounds a square shaped courtyard with sides of 55-60 metres. In the courtyard of the building there is a park of statues, and its nice, natural environment provides a perfect venue for the champagne reception of the wedding, as well as for the civilian ceremony.
